How often have you come across a situation when, when acquiring a new apartment or premises, everything is perfect, except for this strange, ridiculously standing column in the middle of the room!? And now, there is already a desire to continue the search for the ideal ap artment, the ideal layout, but it’s not worth it. The column is a very interesting addition to the interior, it can be successfully beaten, and sometimes its presence can play into our hands.
Five options on how to wrap a column in your interior in a positive, desired element:
1. For swelling of the surface of the column, use a mirror, in different cutting variations, shapes, sizes. At the same time, add an LED strip at the top. Thus, the mirror will visually expand the space, and the backlight will create an incredible atmosphere.
2. Wrap the column in MDF panels in open, closed shelves. Shelves can be placed randomly, of different sizes. The more chaos, the more ease. Use a new design for decor, library, bar.
3. Attach a table to the column and use the same finishing material for the adjacent surface of the column and the surface of the table. Create a sense of unity.
